Students are cooking up a storm at P811 Mickey Mantle School, in Manhattan, through a flavorful partnership with Common Threads’ Small Bites program! Through the school year and into the summer, this initiative allowed 30 students to create nutritious snacks and hot meals, engage in hands-on learning and even plant and harvest food in the school garden. Under the guidance of dedicated instructors Nemeses Marabel and Edward Hodson, and CSD Yasory De La Cruz, the program fostered a sense of community and empowered students with valuable cooking skills. Sounds delicious!
