QIRT recently hosted a combined Diwali and Fall Festival celebration, bringing together students and staff for a day of culture, community, and fun.
As part of the Diwali festivities, students sampled a variety of traditional Indian dishes prepared by staff members who celebrate the holiday. These staff members also took the time to teach students about the meaning and traditions of Diwali. A few students who observe the holiday shared their talents by creating beautiful henna tattoos for peers and staff.
The celebration also included a Fall Festival, where students who achieved honor roll status enjoyed painting pumpkins, tasting pumpkin-themed treats, and participating in bouncy houses and scavenger hunts.
It was a wonderful day of learning, recognition, and celebration for the QIRT community.
