On Saturday, September 20th, P.S. 14Q welcomed over 1,000 attendees to its annual Back-to-School Fair. The event brought together students, families, and community partners for a fun-filled day designed to celebrate the start of the new school year.

Guests enjoyed a variety of activities, including bouncy houses, face painting, cotton candy, art projects, and photos with Tina the Tiger. The fair also featured Zumba and dance classes, free dental screenings from the Colgate Bright Smiles van, and vaccines provided by Stop & Shop Pharmacy.

In addition to the festivities, families connected with community organizations offering valuable resources such as adult English and GED classes, mental health services, and public benefit support. Every P.S. 14Q student received a free pair of uniform pants, with additional shirts and ice cream available through the Parent Association.

The day was filled with energy, music from DJ Monti Spann, and a strong sense of community as families came together to kick off another exciting school year at P.S. 14Q.
