Holiday spirit was on display at PS 14 in the Bronx, where the Throggs Neck school hosted a toy drive on Dec. 13. “Over 100 toys were donated,” said CSD Carly Ayala-Wing. She estimated about 50 families donated new toys. The toys will be given to PS 14 students living in temporary housing or whose families are struggling because of the loss of a job or a parent during the pandemic. UFT Chapter Leader Fred Cassara said masking and social distancing were observed at the outdoor event, which featured music, cookies and milk and picture-taking.
