United Community School, PS14Q will be holding a family STEAM fair EXPO on Tuesday, March 5th from 3:30-5:30pm. Students from grades K through 5 will showcase their “Trash to Treasure” projects which turn recycled materials into items that can be used in their communities such as recycle bins and devices that water plants. In addition to recycled projects, Press will be able to access a hydroponic lab where students have grown veggies and interview the students. There will also be an opportunity to film students participating in the demonstrations given by DSNY and the Department of Sustainability. Multiple organizations will be in attendance including BioBus, NYC Parks, Queens Botanical Garden, and NY Hall of Science.
